Benchbill helps tradies send quotes and get paid. This page says what we keep and why.
The tradie
Your business name, ABN, licence number, state, your name, mobile and email, and your quote and job defaults. Your phone signs in with an anonymous account tied to the app on that phone (Apple's App Attest checks it's the real app). We don't use advertising or tracking SDKs.
The tradie's customers
The name, mobile, email and job address the tradie types into a quote, the quote itself, the name the customer types to accept, and what was paid. We use these only to send that customer their quote, job updates, tax invoice and receipt.
Bank and card details
In this beta, payments are simulated: no real money moves, and we keep only a masked label (for example "PayID ••• 014"). When real payments start, bank and card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers.
Messages
Texts to customers are sent through Bird (bird.com) once it's switched on. In this beta they're kept in a test outbox instead of being sent.
The beta and this website
The iPhone beta is installed through Apple's TestFlight, and Apple's own privacy terms cover what TestFlight collects. If you joined the early waitlist on this site, we keep the email, trade, state and payment method you gave, and use them only to tell you about Benchbill. This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Where it's stored
On Cloudflare. We don't sell or share personal information, except with the services above to do the job you asked for, or when the law requires it.
